Monetary Jurisdiction

Miamisburg Municipal Court operates within certain monetary limits, or a "monetary jurisdiction". All cases seeking judgements above the monetary limits must be taken to a higher court such as the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court. MMC's monetary jurisdictions are as follows:

Small Claims: $3,000.00

Civil:   $15,000.00

If the claim is for an amount greater than $15,000.00, it should be filed in the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court
